Bangkok (July 2025). One of the first things I noticed when I was in Asia were the stark disparities and clearly visible social boundaries. This image captures the striking contrasts of life sharp as a blade.
On the one side, we see a couple enjoying a moment of closeness as they casually walk down the street, moving toward the light that symbolizes warmth, emotional stability and a sense of direction. On the other side, a homeless, emaciated man sits on the sidewalk, lost in life, trapped in his circumstances and excluded from the path the couple is walking.
The photo is titled “Privilege” as a reminder that the comfort of companionship, security, and direction in life is not guaranteed — it’s a privilege not everyone shares.
